As a project coordinator, Audrey documents equipment within broadcasting systems so the install team can build network connections, the maintenance team can fix issues, and retired equipment can be archived.

Goal

  • Maintain the documentation of all broadcasting equipment and ensuring the information is updated in the database for the implementation of building and servicing systems
  • To ensure that all broadcasting equipment information is functional, readable, and accessible
    • What it is, where it is, where it is coming from, where it goes, which CAD drawing it references
  • Handle order requests (install, change, or deletion) from engineers and coordinate efficient and informative installation and maintenance of equipment systems used for broadcast

Experience

  • Audrey has been in her position for 13 years. She has worked in Denver and New York. Currently, she is based in EC. She is the once one at EC in her role.
  • She also did some work for Telemundo.

Day-to-Day Work

  • Create drawings of broadcast systems in AutoCAD
  • Prepare and print labels to be put on physical wires and equipment with cable number, IT switch, Source, and Destination
  • Send documentation required for build, change, and/or archival to maintenance and install teams
  • Update the wirelist DB and CAD drawings when necessary
